Itinerary

Arrival in the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, and transfer to Hotel X.

Visit Peyreiras Private Reserve to observe Madagascar's reptiles (chameleons, frogs, red-eyed geckos, and snakes). Explore the city of Moramanga (monuments and market). Night at Hotel X in Andasibe.

Day 3 :
Andasibe:

Morning visit to Analamazaotra National Park, the best place to see the large lemurs known as "indri indri" and other lemur species. Afternoon visit to Vakona Private Reserve (lemur islet; an opportunity to take photos with lemurs). Return to the hotel. Night at Hotel X in Andasibe.

Return to the capital, visiting the "Manjakamadana" royal palace, then head to Antsirabe passing through Ambatolampy, known for Malagasy pot factories. Night at Hotel X in Antsirabe

Morning visit to Lake Tritriva (a volcanic crater) with the Malagasy Romeo and Juliet story. Continue to Miandrivazo through volcanic landscapes, exploring the features and formation of volcanic rock. Night at Hotel X in Miandrivazo.

Morning departure to Morondava, arriving at noon. Check-in at the hotel and in the evening, visit the Avenue of the Baobabs to witness the sunset through these ancient trees. Night at Hotel X in Morondava.

Visit a private park in Kirindy to see lemurs and typical flora and fauna of the deciduous forest. Pass through baobab forests and see the loving and sacred baobab where the local population worships their ancestors. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Night at Hotel X in Morondava.

Return to Antsirabe, stopping at villages and occasional photo stops (bridges, landscapes, gold mining village). Night at Hotel X in Antsirabe.

Visit crafts in Antsirabe (Joseph, Horn, and Miniature bicycles or cars), a tour on Independence Avenue with the Malagasy rickshaw to see the "thermal hotel," cathedral, and "tsenakely" market. Continue to Ambositra, visit the Malagasy marquetry, and have lunch. Continue in the afternoon to Sahambavy. Night at the hotel in Sahambavy.

Journey with the jungle train to Manakara, an adventure with the legendary train passing through stations to discover the daily life of the locals. Night at the hotel in Manakara.

Day 11 :
Manakara:

A day trip on the Pangalanes Canal to see the fishermen's life in Manakara. Visit an essential oil distillery and a site with endemic carnivorous plants. Picnic on the beach in Manakara. Night at the hotel in Manakara.

Journey to Ranomafana. You can swim in the natural hot water pool. Night visit along the Ranomafana National Park road to see nocturnal lemurs, especially the mouse lemur, and chameleons. Night at the hotel in Ranomafana.

Visit Ranomafana National Park to discover its fauna and flora, especially lemurs, orchids, and tales. Continue to Fianarantsoa with stops at Andremamovoka waterfall and a blacksmith village that produces important tools for working the rice fields. Continue to Ambalavao and visit the "lambalandy" silk factory, a significant part of local customs. Night at the hotel in Ambalavao.

Visit the Anja Reserve to see ring-tailed lemurs and chameleons, then head south. Lunch in Ihosy, the capital of the "bara" cattle herders. Continue with photo stops, such as the "Malagasy Uluru" and the Madagascar Serengeti. Finish the day at the Isalo Window (sunset through a natural gap in sandstone rock). Night at the hotel in Ranohira.

Visit Isalo National Park with its natural pools (blue and black, wonderful landscape, lemurs). Picnic in the park. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Night at the hotel in Ranohira.

Visit the sapphire shop, some stops along the way, lunch in Tulear (southern city), and afternoon visit to the shell market. Head to Mangily, concluding the day with a visit to Foniala Reserve with spiny forest and baobabs. Night at Hotel X in Mangily.

Day 17 :
Ifaty beach

Excursion in the sea in Ifaty for diving or snorkeling on the coral reef, visit the fishing village and the turtle sanctuary in the afternoon. Return to the hotel. Night at the hotel in Mangily.

Return to Ambalavao, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn in Tulear, and continue to Ambalavao. Night at Hotel X in Ambalavao.

Head to Antsirabe passing through Fianarantsoa. Visit the old city of Fianarantsoa. Continue to Antsirabe, with another stop in Ambositra (city of Malagasy marquetry). Continue to Antsirabe. Night at Hotel X in Antsirabe.

Go back to Tana, passing through a place where all artisanal products of Madagascar are sold. Transfer to the airport for the international flight.
